Private insurance and Medicaid will be utilized to meet all
medical costs if possible. Expectant mothers will be asked
to apply for all such benefits, if qualified. Your worker
will help you decide which option is best for you. If you
decide to parent, you will be responsible for the medical
expenses that are not covered by either insurance or Medicaid.
If the baby is relinquished to La Familia for an adoptive
placement, agency resources may be utilized to pay for any
pregnancy, delivery, and routine post-natal care for the you
and the child. Your wishes for healthcare services will be
acknowledged and respected. We encourage you to obtain prenatal
care as soon and as consistently as possible. La Familia will
keep you informed of any medical resources that meet your
needs. If necessary, La Familia will help birthparents find
resources to assist with pregnancy related expenses. Housing Barrett House
