La Familia's Outpatient Services Department offers:
Individual, sibling, family and group therapy. Outpatient therapists are highly trained to provide therapy to clients who present with trauma / abuse, attachment issues, family issues, parenting, anger, aggression as well as other issues. Therapists with over 40 years combined experience and extensive training in the provision of attachment therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, drama therapy, family therapy, sexual maladaptive behavior therapy, among others.
- Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy to individuals, families, groups and as team-building to agencies. Equine therapy, an evidence-based model uses horses as therapy partners to address such issues as attachment, trauma / abuse, grief and loss, conduct disorder, adoption-related issues. As a team-building activity, equine-therapy participants discover their strengths as a team and insight into how to enhance those strengths. Therapeutic groups for adolescents. Adolescent groups are designed to help develop self-esteem and to diminish feelings of isolation that often come with the teen-age years. Groups consist of therapeutic work using yoga, drama, art, music, group sharing and processing. Groups are held on an ongoing basis.
- Circle of Security Parenting Group. This parenting group is an evidence-based relational model that works to help parents form secure attachments with their young children by teaching tools related to everyday interactions.
