La Familia provides social work services to Charter
School programs such as Robert F. Kennedy
Charter High School. The social workers develop
strategies to increase academic success, do
assessments of student emotional needs, mental
health assessments and treatment planning and collaboration and consultation with school staff.
Social Workers are also involved with helping
parents/families enhance their student’s school
experience, link the family with community
resources to strengthen family functioning and
secure access to programs for students with
special needs.
