Financial Assistance
Adoption Finances
Many people discover that adopting a child/children can put a serious strain on family finances. Fortunately, with careful financial planning, adoption can be an affordable option for families. Below are a few of the current resources available to help. If you discover any additional resources, please let your worker know so that we can share the good news with other hopeful families!
Tax Benefits
For the 2006 tax year, you may be able to take a tax credit of up to $10,960 for qualifying expenses paid to adopt an eligible child. The adoption credit is an amount that you subtract from your tax liability.
