The standard of performance among the competitors is exceedingly high and it is a great accomplishment to demonstrate their achievement and knowledge at the national level.

Seventy-five competitors earned Gold, Silver or Bronze medals. Medallists receive financial scholarships, computers and numerous educational enrichment opportunities. All competitors have the opportunity to establish important ties with high achieving African American students from across the nation and they are exposed to educational and professional opportunities that will enhance their opportunities for future success.
