Claire Barr, MA, LPCC is the Director of Core Services for La Familia, Inc.

Core Services is focused on out-patient, community-based programming.  She earned her Bachelor's degree from Purdue University and her Masters in Counseling from Webster University.  Claire has been with La Familia since 2000.

She has worked in Behavioral Health for 15 years with experience in the areas of domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, abuse and neglect as well as Treatment Foster Care and equine therapy.

Claire holds certification as an Equine therapist and manages La Familia's Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy program, a United Way funded program.  She currently holds membership in the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, has presented at their National Conference on Equine Therapy and Attachment Issues and also serves on the Board of Directors of a non-profit equine rescue organization.  Claire is also a member of the American Counseling Association.
