Beverly R. Nomberg has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of La Familia, Inc., since 1988.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Missouri in 1964 and her Master of Social Work degree from Adelphi University, Garden City, Long Island, NY in 1968. Her early experience was as a therapist and community organizer in a family service agency and then work in drug rehabilitation and the emergency room of a large medical center in New York.

Beverly moved to New Mexico in 1974 where she worked as a Nephrology Social Worker for 11 years, gaining invaluable experience with the issues of grief, death and dying and the intrinsic value of the many cultures of New Mexico. In 1986 she began to work in the field of adoptions, which lead to collaboration with others, culminating in the creation of La Familia, Inc. She is currently deeply involved in and committed to providing the highest quality social services to the children and families of New Mexico.
